Privacy Policy

This policy applies only to XSCOZUM Drive Backup, the administrator-operated encrypted backup utility. It does not replace the complaint website’s privacy policy.

Data accessed and purpose

With the drive.file scope, the application accesses files it creates or files explicitly shared with it. It processes encrypted archive contents and file metadata such as names, identifiers, sizes and checksums to upload, locate, download and verify backups. It does not request Gmail, Contacts or unrestricted Drive access.

Storage and service providers

Encrypted archives are stored in the administrator’s Google Drive. OAuth credentials are kept in an encrypted local rclone configuration. If cloud automation is separately configured and approved, its credentials are stored as GitHub Actions secrets and used during authorized backup jobs. Recovery private keys and their passwords are kept separately from uploaded archives.

Google Drive provides file storage. GitHub Actions, when enabled for this connection, provides automated processing. Access is limited to the administrator and authorized service execution. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and revocation

Archives are retained until the administrator explicitly removes them under the applicable backup policy. This connection does not automatically delete historical backups. You may revoke the application’s authorization at Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized access but does not automatically remove stored files or local configuration copies. Contact the operator for access or deletion questions.
